Sava Sara Brakada, AKA Xsara was born on 06-27-2004. She was raised in Kennel Brakada spending the first two months of her life on beautiful countryside Gorenjska (Slovenia) with her siblings and parents. As soon as she came to Ljubljana we started a puppy class, followed by an obedience class. She passed her B-bh exam with 96 points (instructor Agility EO winner Polona Bonač). We now continue with Rally-Obedience under Polona's supervision. Our biggest passion however is Agility. We started our first Agility class in October 2005 (club Agility Ilirija, instructor Silvia Trkman, two times agility world champion). When Silvia stopped teaching agility classes, we switched to Daša Zakotnik. We regularly participate in Agility trials in Slovenia and sometimes abroad. Xsara also loves to learn new dog tricks, you can see some of them in our videos. Her other passions include long walks, big meals and playing with dogs, specially her pyr shep sister Tani, her crazy agility pals and her sister Sena.

Christmas Trial in Postojna

Yesterday's trial was kind of amusing since the courses were very difficult. There were many competitors but only a few dogs qualified. In our cathegory only two dogs qualified in the first run (Xsara was one of them) but both had off-courses in the second run. So in the end - nobody qualified. Other cathegories had similar problems, only a few teams managed to get through both courses. But it was fun to see all of our friends again and spend a day with them. It even started snowing again. We only have a sample of snow for now, but Xsara loves it anyway. It's great to see her having so much fun!

It's great to hear you still had a fun day together even though you didn't qualify. Love that photo of Xsara.

Hi Xsara
Oh well it sounds as though you had a great day anyway. It must have been quite a tricky course! You look happy about the snow.

Oh, it's okay Xsara. The course must have been difficult with alot of sharp turns eh? Me went for mah agility class today. Me did well but I have this problem of skipping poles. I always do that & it gets my mommy fedup! I weave very fast but I miss poles.

Love licks,

Good for you for trying the agility. It is a challenge. What fun, though. We will wait till spring and go back to Agility class then. Its too icy and cold right now here.

Hi Xsara,

We've never met, but we thought this was a good time of the year to come say hello and happy holidays.

We're two wire fox terriers who live in South Florida. I, Jake, am about to turn 6; my brother, Just Harry is a still puppy-like three plus.

Gotta' tell you -- you'll see if you check out my Mistletoe post -- my very very first love when I was a puppy was a beautiful beagle named Lucy. So I have bittersweet thoughts about beagles, because she paid me no mind (but maybe you'll be different).

Come visit when you have a minute off from your agility trials.

Jake

Hi, Xsara
I know you are good at agility, so I guess this course must be very difficult.

Snow?? Maybe is better I go under the blankets!

We think you did great!

As you've said, the course was extremely difficult - and the majority of other participants not qualifying is evidence of that. You did a great job qualifying on the first round!

We can see that you and your companion has done exceptionally well to have reached where you are today. And to have such an accomplished mentor to guide you both can only be a dream come true!

Looking forward to reading more of your adventures.

It's all good experience, and that is ultimately what it's all about isn't it.

Glad you had fun! We're missing agility now, no trials until January. But we're doing stuff in the house. Too much snow here!

I love the two-legged trick, we need to know how you did it!
