Sava Sara Brakada, AKA Xsara was born on 06-27-2004. She was raised in Kennel Brakada spending the first two months of her life on beautiful countryside Gorenjska (Slovenia) with her siblings and parents. As soon as she came to Ljubljana we started a puppy class, followed by an obedience class. She passed her B-bh exam with 96 points (instructor Agility EO winner Polona Bonač). We now continue with Rally-Obedience under Polona's supervision. Our biggest passion however is Agility. We started our first Agility class in October 2005 (club Agility Ilirija, instructor Silvia Trkman, two times agility world champion). When Silvia stopped teaching agility classes, we switched to Daša Zakotnik. We regularly participate in Agility trials in Slovenia and sometimes abroad. Xsara also loves to learn new dog tricks, you can see some of them in our videos. Her other passions include long walks, big meals and playing with dogs, specially her pyr shep sister Tani, her crazy agility pals and her sister Sena.

Bad, Bad Barby

Unfortunately our trial went pretty badly. Our speed was OK, but we again made quite some mistakes, including one bar knocked down by THE HANDLER (for the first time ever). The courses were quite difficult, but the main problem was the terrain. The ground was very uneven and some obstacles were pretty unstable because of this (which is also the reason why I knocked that bar down). We have training later today and I can't wait to improve some of our mistakes from Saturday. I am a firm believer in "everything-that-goes-wrong-is-the-handler's-fault" theory, so I spent a fair amount of time analyzing what went wrong, and we will use this opportunity to learn how to do something better, so in a way it's actually exciting :)

In a couple of hours I have to take Sena back to her people. It was so nice having her around and I really got used to her. If the weather is fine tomorrow, we'll take her to Narnia with us - otherwise we'll have to postpone the trip. But eather way I promise a lot of beautiful pictures! I also got some new agility pictures from this year's trials. They were shot by Iztok Noč and Andraž Cerar - so thank you, guys!

BEAUTFUL pictures! I'll bet Sena loved her time with you; she'll miss you as much as you miss her!
Mom said not to beat yourself up about knocking the bar over; that would be SO easy to do!

Barby, better luck next time. Xsara still loves you. BTW, I really enjoyed your feedback on the leader of the pack post. I'm planning to do another follow up post with a focus on channeling the dog's interest and would like to incorporate your views and experience(with credit to you of course). Is that OK with you?

Hi Xsara,
Tell your mum not to be too hard on herself. We make mistakes in life so we can learn and we are sure the next time will be better. We were inspired by your jumping ability and tried it out ourselves at a dog run today. Love all the photos as usual.

Thank you all for nice wishes! Our next trial was yesterday and, indeed, it went better. I will write some more tomorrow as we have another trial today (obedience).
