Sava Sara Brakada, AKA Xsara was born on 06-27-2004. She was raised in Kennel Brakada spending the first two months of her life on beautiful countryside Gorenjska (Slovenia) with her siblings and parents. As soon as she came to Ljubljana we started a puppy class, followed by an obedience class. She passed her B-bh exam with 96 points (instructor Agility EO winner Polona Bonač). We now continue with Rally-Obedience under Polona's supervision. Our biggest passion however is Agility. We started our first Agility class in October 2005 (club Agility Ilirija, instructor Silvia Trkman, two times agility world champion). When Silvia stopped teaching agility classes, we switched to Daša Zakotnik. We regularly participate in Agility trials in Slovenia and sometimes abroad. Xsara also loves to learn new dog tricks, you can see some of them in our videos. Her other passions include long walks, big meals and playing with dogs, specially her pyr shep sister Tani, her crazy agility pals and her sister Sena.

Updates

We didn't get lost somewhere in Holland, we're back at the seaside and enjoying the Summer. European Open was a lot of fun and Xsara had some very nice runs. I'm specially proud of our team Fast Snails - we were placed 13th (among 87 teams) in jumping and 29th overall. Other competitors from Slovenia did very well too, and we were very proud to applaud them on the podium.

We're currently staying in our new appartment by the sea where I have a lot of time to work on my diploma. We are also working on many new tricks and hopefully will finally make a new video for Xsara - who is now a big swimmer, by the way. She never liked water too much, but now that we have Tani, Xsara likes to join us in the water as well. But sometimes she does get tired of the little hyper Tani, so she learned how to close herself in the crate. It took me days to figure out why the door was closed even when I left it opened, until one day I saw her closing it with her paw. She sure is one super smart little girl!

My beagles have always closed their cage doors when they didn't want to be bothered by the others.

Have Macy and Maggie now!

Super fast run - what a twisty, tight course!

Funny that Xsara closes herself in her crate to get away from Tani (pretty smart!).

Good luck with the work on your diploma!

Clever girl Xsara! Levi does something similar, he covers himself underneath a blanket when he doesn't want to be bothered, and then beware who comes near to disturb him. :)

Awesome run by Xsara!!! Emma sure has some catching up to do. Countdown has started, we fly in 4 weeks!!!

See you soon!

That is so awesome that she figures out how to close her cage door! Show what clicker training can do for a dog's ability to problem solve, and of course Xsara is just a smart girl to begin with!! Gotta love the Beagles.

Wow - after a run like that, I'd want to close myself in my crate and take a nap too! Congrats and good luck with your studies!

Xsara is a clever beagle! Although my beagle Cinnamon has learned to unlatch the door of her crate and get out, she hasn't figured out how to close the door.
