S XSARO VSEM ŽELIVA SREČEN BOŽIČ!
My princesses
- Xsara and Tani
- Sava Sara Brakada, AKA Xsara was born on 06-27-2004. She was raised in Kennel Brakada spending the first two months of her life on beautiful countryside Gorenjska (Slovenia) with her siblings and parents. As soon as she came to Ljubljana we started a puppy class, followed by an obedience class. She passed her B-bh exam with 96 points (instructor Agility EO winner Polona Bonač). We now continue with Rally-Obedience under Polona's supervision. Our biggest passion however is Agility. We started our first Agility class in October 2005 (club Agility Ilirija, instructor Silvia Trkman, two times agility world champion). When Silvia stopped teaching agility classes, we switched to Daša Zakotnik. We regularly participate in Agility trials in Slovenia and sometimes abroad. Xsara also loves to learn new dog tricks, you can see some of them in our videos. Her other passions include long walks, big meals and playing with dogs, specially her pyr shep sister Tani, her crazy agility pals and her sister Sena.

First Indoor Competition
Despite being in heat Xsara behaved very well this week. We had our first indoor competition in Postojna. Unfortunately she wasn't really concentrated so we gained some faults, plus the floor was very slippery. We finished on 5th place. But I was really happy that she didn't run out of the ring like she did the last time she was in heat. Running indoors is very different from outside, that's why the dog needs to get used to it.
Two months ago Xsara got seven siblings. We went to see them last weekend, before they leave the breeder and go to their new homes. One of the girls reminded me of Xsara a lot and I just fell in love with her. But Gašper and I agreed that Xsara would remain an only child for now.

Agi4Fun
Xsara is in heat. She marks her territory on our daily walks so that all the dog will be able to find our house. Despite this and some digestional problems (she ate some sharp cut pumpkin when I wasn't looking and was vomiting afterwards) she is behaving well. Last Saturday we were on an unofficial agility competition in Koper (Agi4fun) and we were 3rd although some other teams were really good. The course was very difficult so I'm really proud of this accomplishment and Xsara earned to get calamari for dinner.

The Weather Is Weird
Xsara doesn't mind the rain. When she was little she would hide from it under the roofs, but now she loves jumping around in the water. I never liked this kind of weather myself but I learned to love it with Xsara. Although I have to make sure she doesn't get soaking wet, since she would get so cold that she starts shaking. When she gets wet I wrap her in her bath robe, then she curls under the blanket and happily falls asleep. That lasts for the entire 15 minutes and then we are off for round two - she is ready for action again!
